By using SmartCity you agree to these terms.

 

1. Platform Description

 

SmartCity is a multi-service digital marketplace connecting users with:

• delivery services
• property hosts
• hotels
• local service providers

SmartCity acts as a technology platform connecting users and service providers.

 

2. User Accounts

Users must:

• provide accurate information
• keep login credentials secure
• be responsible for activity on their account

SmartCity may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

 

3. Orders and Payments

All purchases made through the platform are subject to:

• product availability
• merchant confirmation
• payment authorization

Prices and availability may change without notice.

 

4. Vendor Responsibility

Merchants and service providers are responsible for:

• product quality
• service delivery
• compliance with local regulations
• correct product descriptions

SmartCity does not manufacture or own the listed products.

 

5. Ride Hailing Services

Drivers are independent contractors.
SmartCity provides the platform that connects drivers with riders.

SmartCity is not liable for driver conduct beyond platform functionality.

 

6. Delivery Services

Delivery times may vary depending on:

• traffic conditions
• vendor readiness
• weather conditions
• distance

SmartCity is not responsible for delays caused by external factors.

 

7. Property Bookings

For rental and hotel bookings:

• hosts are responsible for property accuracy
• cancellation policies are set by hosts
• SmartCity may charge service fees

Users must respect property rules.

 

8. On-Demand Services

Services like plumbing, repairs, cleaning, and car wash are provided by independent service providers.

SmartCity facilitates the booking but does not guarantee the outcome of services.

 

9. Prohibited Activities

Users may not:

• commit fraud
• abuse the platform
• upload illegal content
• interfere with platform security
• impersonate others

Violations may result in account termination.

 

10. Limitation of Liability

SmartCity shall not be liable for:

• indirect damages
• loss of profits
• service interruptions
• vendor disputes

Use of the platform is at your own risk.

 

11. Refunds and Disputes

Refunds depend on:

• vendor policies
• service provider agreements
• platform review process

SmartCity may mediate disputes but does not guarantee refunds.

 

12. Intellectual Property

All platform content including:

• logos
• design
• software
• trademarks

are owned by SmartCity and protected by intellectual property laws.

 

13. Termination

SmartCity may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

 

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda.

Any disputes shall be resolved in courts located in Uganda.
